Sugar Cookie Recipe

Cream butter and sugar until smooth

Add eggs and vanilla and mix well

Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl and slowly add to butter mixture. Mix until flour is completely incorporated and dough comes together

Roll out dough between two sheets of parchment paper to desired thickness

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes, or until cookies begin to lightly brown around edges
3 cups of all purpose-flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 eggs
2 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract
TIPS

Soften Butter at room temperature

Use an egg that is room temperature

Place cookies in refrigerator for a few minutes before baking

I take my cookies out of the oven before they are fully baked for a softer cookie

Let cookies sit on cookie sheet for 10 minutes before placing on cooking rack
Royal Icing Recipe
Ingredients
2-pound bag powdered sugar
2 tablespoon Meringue Powder
6-10 T water
Directions

Mix powdered sugar ,water and meringue powder in mixer on low ,
-
Turn mixer to medium/medium high and mix for 4-5 minutes
-
After icing is mixed, store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks at room temperature.
